Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries in Car Crash

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigating officers.

A pedestrian was taken to a hospital with injuries that could be life-threatening after a car crash this morning in Union City, according to police. Officers were dispatched to an injury collision on Whipple Road near Liston Way at 6:39 a.m.

Once on scene they found a pedestrian that had been struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Cruz, police said. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigating officers.

This morning’s crash is still under investigation, and police are asking anyone with additional information to contact Officer Brigid Dinneen at (510) 675-5291.
