Every year, the President of the United States issues a proclamation declaring National Small Business Week in recognition of the critical contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners in America. This year, the week of May 1 through 7 has been designated in honor of those who have made an impact in building the national economy.
Events all around the country have been scheduled to highlight specific contributions of entrepreneurs and those who have helped train and support them such as the Small Business Administration’s network of related organizations of consultants and small business experts.
Here in the East Bay, to celebrate National Small Business Week, PerkStart has organized a business forum, “What do Venture Capitalists look for when funding Startups?,” which will be held on May 7 (Saturday), 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 31014 Union City Blvd., with a guest speaker from a venture capital company.
