Person Struck by Train in Hayward Dies
The identity of the person has not yet been released.
A person was struck and killed this afternoon by a train in Hayward, according to the Hayward Fire Department. Firefighters responded at about 4:30 p.m. to the tracks that cross Industrial Parkway, Hayward Battalion Chief Kevin Gotro said.
He said the person, who appeared to be an adult female, could not be revived by firefighters when they arrived.
