Police To Host Neighborhood Watch Meetings

Each meeting will be held on Wednesday - this week and next. The locations are different.

UNION CITY, CA — Fresh off the heels of announcing arrests in the double murder of Union City boys ages 11 and 14, the Union City Police Department will host Neighborhood Watch Meetings this Wednesday and next.

In announcing the meetings, police said in a release, "It is a well-established fact that a neighborhood’s best crime prevention tool is a good neighbor. No one other than the person who lives in a particular area is better equipped to identify unfamiliar sights sounds and people."

Police Chief Jared Rinetti and Mayor Carol Dutra-Vernaci will present information at the meeting including:

The first meeting will be held starting at 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Delaine Eastin Elementary School. RSVP
