Police Identify East Bay Victim in Christmas Eve Stabbing

A 36-year-old man fatally stabbed in a Target store in Hayward on Christmas Eve has been identified, according to police.

HAYWARD, CA - A 36-year-old man fatally stabbed in a Target store in Hayward on Christmas Eve has been identified as Tyrone Griffin, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the Target at 2499 Whipple Rd. at 8:02 p.m. Saturday, where they found Griffin suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses reportedly said that before the stabbing an altercation occurred. Investigators are asking anyone else who may have seen the killing to call Detective Purnell at (510) 293-7074.

Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of homicide in the 30000 block of Industrial Parkway. They have been identified as Frankie Archuleta, 22, and Jesse Archuleta, 25.

Both suspects and the victim are all Hayward residents.

This is Hayward's 13th homicide in 2016, according to police.
