Police Officers Arrest Parolee, Seize Gun

The officers also seized suspected narcotics from the suspect.

UNION CITY, CA — Two Union City police officers arrested a parolee Monday night for alleged weapons and narcotics crimes.

Field Training Officer Olson and Officer Griffin were patrolling the area of Whipple Road and Amaral Street when they spotted a man sitting in his vehicle that they knew was on parole.

The officers conducted a search, allowed as a condition of parole. During the search, the officers found suspected narcotics in his pockets and a loaded gun in the vehicle.

The gun had been reported stolen.

The man, whose name was not released, was arrested and booked in jail.
