Police Release Photo of Man Suspected in 2 Similar Robberies in Fremont

Do you know this man? Fremont Police are looking for him.

Fremont police are investigating two similar robberies that happened earlier this week and may have been committed by the same man. On Monday around 10:40 p.m., the man entered a Walgreens store at Decoto Road and Fremont Boulevard, grabbed a soda and went to the cash register, police said.

The man, who covered his face with a bandana, handed the store clerk a note and said he had a gun, according to police. The clerk, who never saw the firearm, gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and fled, police said.

On Wednesday at about 4:45 a.m., a man entered a 7-Eleven store on Central Avenue where he got a beverage and approached the cashier, according to police. In a similar fashion as Monday’s robbery, the man covered his face with a black and white cloth, handed the cashier a demand note and said he had a gun but never showed it. The cashier complied with the demand and the suspect fled, police said.
