March 20, 1975 was the dedication of the newly completed Sangha Hall of the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church at Alvarado-Niles Road. The hall contains classrooms, a large social hall and a gym complex.
Bishop Kienyu Tsuji of the Buddhist Churches of America officiated in the dedication. Special clergy and civic guests were in attendance.
The altar for the Sangha Hall was dedicated in memory of the late Mr. Tak Fudenna.
After 35 years, the hall is still being used by the community. History continues.
