New Haven Unified School District Calls 'Stuff the Bus' Fundraiser at Walmart 'Huge Success'
School supplies were donated by the community to be given to students in need.

Announcement information submitted by New Haven Unified School District:
The community really came through for the students in New Haven Unified this year! We owe a big “Thank you!” to over 55 enthusiastic volunteers who greeted the public.
An impressive amount of school supplies were donated by the community - enough to fill the bus twice! A big shout out and thank you to Walmart for hosting us, volunteers from the Lions Club, the Rotary Club, the Rotaract Club as well as many New Haven employees, parents and student volunteers who came out to make this happen. Awesome team work from the District’s Transportation and Maintenance Department helped to coordinate the bussing and make sure that the donated supplies got into the right hands.
