Suspect Arrested: Stabbing At James Logan High School
A lockdown was imposed after the stabbing as police searched for the suspect. School was dismissed at the regular time.
UNION CITY, CA — One student was taken to the hospital after being stabbed at James Logan High School late Friday morning, according to Union City Police. The student has reportedly undergone surgery and remains in the hospital in stable condition. A second student received superficial wounds that did not require hospitalization. The student accused in the stabbing has been arrested. Police have not released the names of the students.
The student arrested in being held on suspicion of attempted murder. He was arrested at the Mexico Super grocery store in Hayward.
The school was placed on lockdown after the stabbing. At the time, police sent a message to the community saying, "Officers are clearing the school and attempting to locate the suspect."

Police also asked parents to stay away from the school until the lockdown was lifted so they could focus on their search for the suspect.
Police have not revealed a motive for the stabbing.
