'Stuff the Bus' School Supply Drive This Weekend
A bus will be parked outside the Union Landing Wal-Mart from Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30.

Announcement submitted by New Haven Unified School District:
The local community can help provide supplies for New Haven students this weekend when Wal-Mart once again hosts a “Stuff the Bus” event at the Union Landing shopping center.
A District bus will be parked outside the Union Landing Wal-Mart from Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30. Shoppers will be invited to purchase items from a list of school supplies and “stuff the bus” with donations for students. Since the annual event began in 2010, shoppers have donated thousands of dollars’ worth of paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, binders, folders and other supplies.

Parents, school employees and other community volunteers will greet shoppers and accept donations from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
