The Union City Skate Park opened on September 14, 2003, after nearly a decade in the making. The 19,400 square-foot, $531,000 facility at William Cann Civic Center Park, 34009 Alvarado-Niles, is the second largest public skate park in the Bay Area. The park features several ramps, a half pipe, grinding curbs, stairs and a concrete volcano-shaped mound for Bay Area skaters. The park is owned and operated by the City.
