Tri-City Police Arrest Alleged Car Thief With Burglary Tools
The suspect was arrested after an alert citizen reported someone sleeping in a car.

FREMONT, CA — One suspect was arrested Sunday in Fremont after he was found sleeping inside a stolen vehicle, police said.
According to Fremont police, someone called dispatchers to report a male sleeping inside a blue Honda Civic near Willowood and Deadwood drives.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located the suspect sleeping in the driver's seat of the vehicle.

Officers inspected the vehicle and noticed that the vehicle identification number on the license plate did not match the one on the dashboard. They confirmed that the Honda was reported stolen.
The suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was detained and arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and burglary tools, police said.
