Two People Shot In Union City Wednesday

One person was shot in the back and the other in the leg.

UNION CITY, CA — Two people were shot in a parked vehicle in Union City early Wednesday morning, police said.

The victims, both Union City residents, had parked their car near Eighth and C streets around 12:30 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up alongside them and someone inside it opened fire, according to police.

One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the back and the other was struck in the leg. Both were taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police have not released any suspect information in the shooting.
