Union City Man Arrested For Alleged Identity Theft

The suspect had stolen credit cards and identification cards, police say.

UNION CITY, CA —A Union City man was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of possessing numerous stolen credit cards and identification cards, police said Thursday.

Around 2:15 p.m. on April 11, a Union City police officer spoke with Michael Montenegro in the 2100 block of Eric Court. The officer searched Montenegro and allegedly found the stolen credit cards and identification cards, according to police.

The cards were allegedly taken from a Union City hotel.

Montenegro, 49, of Union City was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property.
