Man Arrested For Attempted Murder: UCPD

UNION CITY, CA — A man was arrested for attempted murder following a savage beating that left the victim unconscious, Union City Police reported Wednesday. The man under arrest is 24-year-old Kusitafe Makasina.

The beating took place back on Wednesday, July 24. Police received a call about the beating taking place around midnight. When officers arrived at the parking lot where it happened they found the victim unconscious. His name has not been released. Police will only say that he's an adult.

After the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, officers interviewed the three remaining people at the scene. They learned that Makasina and the victim were in a heated argument before the beating.

Police say there are no outstanding suspects.
