Union City Man Arrested For Fraud in Fremont

He was arrested, along with a woman, for allegedly trying to rent hotel rooms with a fake credit card.

FREMONT, CA- Two people are in custody after allegedly attempting to rent a room at a hotel with a fraudulent credit card Saturday night in Fremont, according to police.

Police said officers were dispatched to Hyatt Place Fremont/Silicon Valley Hotel located at 3101 W. Warren Ave. at 4:57 p.m. on reports of a couple attempting to rent two rooms with a fraudulent credit card. When officers arrived, they were able to locate a 37-year-old man from Union City and a 29-year-old woman from San Jose in the lobby of the hotel, police said.

According to police, officers arrested the man for allegedly using a credit card to commit fraud and possession of a controlled substance.

The woman was arrested for two warrants, and possession of a controlled substance, as well as bringing a controlled substance into a jail.
