Union City Man Killed in Nevada County

UNION CITY, CA — The death of a Union City man whose body was discovered Monday night in Nevada County has been ruled a homicide, Nevada County Sheriff's officials said today.

Cal Fire called the sheriff's office at 10:11 p.m. Monday to ask for help locating a missing man in the area of Relief Hill Road and Gaston Road.

Deputies found the body of Michael Mahoney, 67, in the 30000 block of Relief Hill Road. The Placer County Coroner is conducting an autopsy.
