Union City Police: 4 Juveniles Arrested on Suspicion of Robbery at Knifepoint

Information submitted by Union City Police:
On 11-23-14, around 2335 hours, Union City Police Officers responded to the area of 24 Union Square for a just occurred robbery at knifepoint.
Officers responded and contacted a victim who sustained no injuries during the robbery. The victim was contacted by four juvenile suspects who took property from him while holding him at knifepoint.

Officers checked the area and located four potential suspects inside of a local fast food restaurant. Upon contacting the suspects, officers located the potential weapon and some of the stolen property that was discarded on the floor under the suspects table. All four were placed under arrest for the robbery. The suspects later discarded additional stolen property at the police station where they were held for processing. The four arrestees are juveniles and their identities are not being released at this time.
The details of this incident closely resemble three other recent robberies in Union City and investigative follow up is being conducted to determine if these suspects are responsible. These robberies have taken place in the last two weeks. These prior three robberies occurred in the same area as this incident, further described as the adjoining streets to the Union City BART station.

At the time of this media release one of the arrestees has been linked to two of the three additional robberies occurring in Union City in the past two weeks.
