Union City Police Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect
Police say the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

UNION CITY, CA - Police in Union City have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a woman numerous times earlier this month.
Police said Samie Mawlavizada, 21, of Hayward, was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide and various other crimes.
On March 7, around 9 a.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of Sanddollar Court on a report a woman had been stabbed several times. Officers arrived at the scene and located a woman suffering from injuries that were life-threatening. She is expected to survive the incident.

Mawlavizada was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the Union City Police Department.
Police said the stabbing was an isolated incident, and the victim was the intended target.
