Union City Police Arrest Suspected Armed Robbers

A pizza deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint last week.

UNION CITY, CA — Police arrested two people suspected of robbing a pizza deliveryman at gunpoint last week in Union City, police said Friday.

On Aug. 21, around 1:15 a.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 2100 block of Swan Court, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers learned a pizza deliveryman had been robbed by a man and a woman of his cellphone at gunpoint. After the robbery, one of the suspects then stole the victim's car while the other suspect followed
them in a red sedan, police said.

Officers were able to locate the victim's car the next morning around 6:30 a.m. in Stockton, according to police.

Inside the car officers located a man and two women, all Union City residents. A female juvenile from Stockton was also inside the car, police said.

The victim was able to positively identify the two suspects involved in the robbery and officers arrested them on suspicion of carjacking. Police did not release their names.

The other woman and the female juvenile inside the car were also arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, according to police.
