Union City Police Credit Alert Neighbor For Catching Burglars
Police say the burglars put these sox on their hands to prevent fingerprints.

UNION CITY, CA - Two men were arrested for burglarizing a home Tuesday night, and Union City Police place the credit for stopping the crime in progress squarely on the shoulders of a watchful neighbor.
The resident saw two men park a car on Fernandez Street, get out, and then enter a neighbor's home carrying flashlights. The resident called 9-1-1.
According to police, "Officers arrived and surrounded the home within minutes of receiving the 9-1-1 call. Shortly after officers arrived, the men attempted to get away by jumping fences. Both of the men were arrested as they jumped right into the officer’s waiting arms. Officers caught the two with property stolen from the home and the socks shown in the photograph. Apparently the crooks placed the cute socks on their hands to avoid leaving fingerprints."
