One Dead, Two Seriously Injured in Union City Triple Shooting

Police have detained three suspects and recovered a gun.

UNION CITY, CA — One person was killed and two others seriously injured in a shooting outside a restaurant at Union Landing Shopping Center.

The three people were reportedly shot just after 9 p.m. Monday night in the parking lot of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant. Police were nearby and heard the gunshots. They were on scene within one minute of the shooting.

They found two victims. One was dead, the other was taken tot he hospital with serious injuries.

A witness gave police a description of the getaway car used in the shooting. Police found the car and detained three suspects about a block from the shooting. Police recovered a gun and other evidence from the car.

Meanwhile, police stopped another car fleeing from the scene. Inside, they found a third shooting victim. That person was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

A motive has not been reported to the public.
