Union City Police Seeking Witnesses to Crash
"There were no witnesses to the incident and the pedestrian suffered significant injuries."

UNION CITY, CA — Police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Alvarado-Niles Road in Union City that left the victim with major injuries on Monday night.
According to Lt. Steve Mendez, a man was crossing Alvarado-Niles Road around 9:30 p.m. when he was hit by the vehicle near Western Avenue.
"There were no witnesses to the incident and the pedestrian suffered significant injuries," Mendez said.

The victim underwent emergency surgery at Eden Medical Center and was in stable condition Wednesday afternoon. His name wasn't released.
The suspect's car is a dark-colored, newer-model Hyundai, according to Mendez. Anyone with information is asked to call (510) 675-5207 or email tips@unioncity.org.
