Union City Police Write Dozens Of Tickets

UNION CITY, CA — The Union City Police Department is focused on pedestrian safety this month. On Friday, the Traffic Unit conducted direct enforcement. The officers wrote 26 tickets for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk and one ticket for cell phone violation.

Here is a rundown of their efforts:

• Over 30 vehicle stops.
• 27 citations issued.
• 1 vehicle towed.
• 2 arrests for unlicensed drivers.
• 1 arrest for suspended license.
