Union City Shooting: Man Injured Near High School

Police say an event was going on at the school at the time of the shooting.

UNION CITY - A man suffered injuries not considered life-threatening in a shooting Saturday night in Union City.

Police received a 911 call at 8:16 p.m. of a shooting near 1800 H St. near James Logan High School, according to police. Officers who responded found a man with a bullet wound and had the man taken to a hospital.

The shooting occurred on H Street near Colgate Drive, police said.

The California Color Guard Circuit evaluation was happening at the high school when the shooting took place. The school campus was locked down temporarily. There are no reports of any students being injured because of the shooting, according to police.

The suspects are being described as three Hispanic males who were wearing dark clothing, police said.
