Union City Shooting Near Middle School Parking Lot
The shooting last Thursday evening caused traffic delays on Alvarado-Niles Road.
UNION CITY, CA — One person was shot near the parking lot of Cesar Chavez Middle School in Union City last Thursday evening.
Union City Police say the victim drove away from that location and later crashed near the intersection of Alvarado-Niles Road and Western Avenue.
"Officers began providing life saving measures until paramedics arrived," police said in an online post. He was then transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. causing a huge traffic delay as the area was closed by investigators.
Police called the shooting an isolated incident.
