Video: Playing Like the Pros
Youth soccer athletes gather in Newark for a chance to interact with soccer players from the San Jose Earthquakes.
More than 100 children put on their cleats and shin guards Thursday night to meet and play alongside top coaches and four soccer players from the San Jose Earthquakes.
The opportunity is part of a five-leg Xfinity Soccer Clinic Series in which children ages 8 to 12 learn how to play like a pro for free.
Anthony Ampaipitakwong, Joey Gjertsen, Brad Ring and Scott Sealey were the four players youth had the opportunity to meet at the in Newark.

Each participant received a free soccer ball and a ticket to the July 2 Earthquakes game at the Stanford stadium against the New York Redbulls.
The Xfinity Soccer Clinic Series kicked off on June 1 in San Jose. It continues on June 30 at Fair Oaks Elementary School in Redwood City.

The series will make another stop in the Tri-Cities when it comes to Shorty Garcia Park in Union City on July 27.
