Video: Software Engineer Leaves Behind Computer Code for Cricket Cages
Mukul Kumar, 31, of Milpitas, left behind his job in the software industry last year to follow his passion for cricket. Kumar recently opened up Cricket Strike Zone, an indoor training facility in Union City.
Ever dream about giving up a career in the technology industry to pursue your passion? That's what Mukul Kumar did, when he quit his job as a software engineer last year and focused on his real passion — cricket.
Kumar, 31, launched his new venture Cricket Strike Zone in September 2010. The indoor training facility for both cricket and baseball players is the first of its kind in the Bay Area.
Cricket, a bat-and-ball game, originated in England but is especially popular in India.
