Women Walking on Sidewalk Robbed of Gold Necklace
Officers responded at 1:15 p.m. Saturday to the 34700 block of Alvarado-Niles Road to investigate the robbery.

UNION CITY, CA: Police in Union City are investigating a Saturday strong-armed robbery. Officers responded at 1:15 p.m. to the 34700 block of Alvarado-Niles Road on a report of a robbery. Police said the victim was walking on the sidewalk when a suspect walked by her and pulled a gold necklace off her neck.
The suspect then got into the back seat of a vehicle and fled the area. The suspect is described as an Asian man, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with short black hair, black eyes and a clean-shaven face. The vehicle is described as a silver or gray Volkswagen Jetta.
In November of 2015, a woman pushing a stroller was allegedly robbed of her gold necklace in Fremont.
