Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians Rolls Out Holiday Bikes for Vallejo Youth
Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians Comes Out Strong for Vallejo's Youth with Bicycle Donation

Vallejo, CA — The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians proudly donated over 100 bicycles to help bring joy, mobility, and opportunity to local children and families in Vallejo during the holiday season. The donation was made to Developing, Organizing Visions for Everyone (D.O.V.E), a Vallejo-based nonprofit that provides re-entry and crime prevention programs designed for system impacted individuals. The bicycles will be prioritized for local children with incarcerated parents.
“Supporting our community is a responsibility we take seriously,” said Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians Chairman Shawn Davis. “Many of our Tribal members know firsthand what it means to go without during the holidays, and that experience guides our desire to help others. By contributing to this toy drive, we hope to help make the season brighter for local families.”
The donation is part of the Tribe’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the Vallejo community and ensuring that families have the support they need during a time of year that can be especially challenging for many. The gift was made in support of a toy drive organized by Solano County Supervisor Cassandra James in partnership with Councilmembers Tonia Lediju and Alex Matias.

“Some of these children will remember today for the rest of their lives,” said Cameron Clark, founder and Executive Director of D.O.V.E. speaking of the toy giveaway held on Saturday. “Your impact cannot be quantified. Our community is better with you in it. We send the Scotts Valley Pomo nation love, and I am honored to work beside you.”
The bicycles donated by Scotts Valley will offer children not only a meaningful holiday gift, but also a source of recreation, independence, and healthy activity. Throughout the past year, the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians has supported numerous community causes in Vallejo, including charitable events, local nonprofits, and initiatives aimed at strengthening families and neighborhoods. These efforts reflect the Tribe’s broader vision of partnership, mutual respect, and long-term community investment.
