Green Activist Training Saturday, June 25 in Los Angeles

You're invited to join a team of citizen green activists who are helping to win key victories at the local level.

From Environment California:

It won’t be easy to stop the buildup of trash in the Pacific, or to protect ocean wildlife from harmful fishing practices. But you can make a real difference for California’s environment — and we can show you how. You’re invited to join a team of citizen activists who are helping to win key victories at the local level.

Saturday, June 25, Environment California, in conjunction with California Fair Share, CALPIRG, and The Public Interest Network (the family organizations that includes Environment America, US PIRG, and a dozen other public interest organizations) is sponsoring an activist workshop on Saturday, June 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Los Angeles. We'd love to see you there.

Run by trainers affiliated with The Public Interest Network, the Activist Workshop will cover the best techniques for organizing your neighbors to take action, and the best ways to persuade your local media to cover an issue you care about. We are asking for a $10 donation to defray the cost of training materials, staff and food – note there is the option to register for free as well.

We'll be in touch as the workshop approaches, but in the meantime, click here to learn more about the event, register, and spread the word to friends and family.
