Shop at the Venice Art Crawl this Season and Give the Gift of Art!

The holidays are almost here…however there is still time to find that perfect gift. This season give the gift of art…original art can offer a more personal gesture. Finding a framed photo of a loved one’s favorite legendary musician always earns high grades for the gift giver.

Photographer Nick Busco offers timeless images of classic rock stars. He started his professional career in college, where his roommate ran a ticket agency for concerts. This allowed him free access to many of the most sought after shows. He recalls, “I learned so much just by shooting rock concerts. I ended up working for a rock and roll lighting company in Somerville, Mass. - Tom Field Associates.”

Nick toured the country with many renowned musicians and has captured stars such as Bonnie Rait, Tom Petty, Rod Stewart and more.  His most recent project was photographing Toots, from Toots and the Maytals. “Toots was doing an acoustic set at the Belly-up, in Solana Beach...His manager, my old roommate from college, asked me to come on down and take a few shots. They are using previous images of Toots for promotions, on this tour that were taken at the drum circle in Venice back in 2010,” says Nick. Yamaha Music division will be using some of the photos from that show at the Belly-up for their promotions.

Nick will be part of the Figtree’s Café/Venice Art Crawl event on December 20^th. Also participating will be photographer Scott Tansey.

Tansey is known for his sweeping landscapes and has been capturing breathtaking panoramic views for the past forty years. He has traveled across the globe from the U.S. to Alaska, Europe and most recently Patagonia.

His most recent trip to Patagonia inspired him to capture incredible images of mountain ranges, icebergs and rarely captured landscapes. A time consuming art, photography forces one to plan, travel and wait for the best light. Scott is a driven photographer, devoting much of his time to see the world through the lens of his camera. When shooting a project, Tansy is usually up at the crack of dawn, he also has been known to make a long day of it. He strives to catch that perfect shot. By traveling and exploring undiscovered places, he has captured some of the most beautiful landscape scenery available.

Figtree’s café is featuring several images from his Patagonia series.
