Coronavirus In Venice, Mar Vista: 194 Cases
Health officials Tuesday reported 2,364 new cases across LA County along with 34 more deaths and a total of 1,515 hospitalizations.
VENICE, CA — With coronavirus restrictions loosening, business is slowly returning to normal in Los Angeles County, including in Venice and Mar Vista. However, the number of local coronavirus cases and deaths continue to rise.
On Tuesday, health officials reported 2,364 new cases across the county along with 34 more deaths and a total of 1,515 hospitalizations. Though the county has seen an uptick in hospitalizations, the recent averages of between 1,350 and 1,450 are still below the pandemic peaks of more than 1,900.
There are 86 reported cases in Venice and two reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials Tuesday. There are 108 reported cases in Mar Vista and five reported deaths.

The virus is surging statewide, with Los Angeles County leading the way with more than 86,000 confirmed cases while recording its largest single-day increase in cases on Monday. The state has recorded nearly 185,000 confirmed cases, and 5,566 deaths.
