VENICE, CA — More than 10 dead cormorants were found along the shore at Venice Beach this week, according to multiple residents.
It's unclear why the birds are dying. Patch reached out to the International Bird Rescue for more information.
Over the last several years, scientists and researchers have found scores of dead birds along the California coastline. Climate change, including the melting Arctic ice sheets and warming environment, could be tied to the migratory bird deaths, The Los Angeles Times reports.
