ELOY TAKE TWO, a documentary of L.A. muralist/artist, singer/songwriter, ELOY TORREZ, will be screened in our theatre along with performances from L.A. Latino poets and musicians. There will also be a Q&A with filmmaker, ROBERTO S. OREGEL and artist, ELOY TORREZ. Funds raised from this evening will go to the efforts to restore one of Torrez's most famous murals, The Pope of Broadway, of Hollywood actor Anthony Quinn, on the Victor Clothing Company building at 3rd St. and Broadway in Downtown L.A. The portrait is composed by his brilliant musical and painting talents as well as his honesty and the revealing interviews by some of his collectors such as the comedic genius, CHEECH MARIN, musician, DOUG S.A. MARTINEZ (from the band '311'), and others. His canvas and stage is the urban spread of Los Angeles.
