On Monday, June 6, the Spots Medicine Team at Venice High School will be hosting an Open House for the Sports Medicine, Automotive, Graphic Arts and Horticulture Programs from 3:15 - 5:45 pm. We would like to invite you to stop by and learn about these amazing programs.
Venice High School is lucky to have these wonderful classes available to students. The Sports Medicine Team has placed in the top 5 at the state level for the past five years. We have also had the Student Athletic Trainer of the Year for California for three years. Students from our program go on to colleges such as UCLA, USC, CAL, Brown University, Boston University and Northeastern. The Automotive class will be receiving new Snap-On Diagnostic equipment before the end of the year that will allow our students to be the only high school students in the state to receive certification on how to operate the equipment.
During the Open House the Sports Medicine Team will be demonstrating taping techniques, the Functional Movement Screen and kettlebells. The Horticulture students will be offering garden tours and sample foods from the garden. The Graphic Arts program will be doing live printings on t-shirts and paper. The Auto-Shop will have demos of their equipment and examples of car repairs
