we are: VENICE

What:

The Boys & Girls Club of Venice truly believes that GREAT FUTURES START HERE! In 2011, we plan to continue our rich tradition and history of serving children and families in Venice and neighboring communities. The support and guidance that we provide young people is evident in the spirit of our members, and their love for the Club. From the youngest members to our teens and alums, the Club has been a consistent guiding light in their development as productive and caring citizens.

On Wednesday, Jan. 19, we will be hosting a special event titled, “We Are Venice” which will highlight several areas of the Club. Specifically, we will be conducting our 2011 Youth of the Year candidate public speeches as a part of the Youth of the Year judging process, and judging for the national fine arts competition. We eagerly encourage the Venice community  to be a part of this special night and actively participate in the “open mic” community town hall, which will begin at 7 p.m. We would like you to join us to talk about the issues facing youth development and the community, as well as the successes and opportunities moving forward.
