Fire Damages Basement in One-Story Mar Vista Home

The department dispatched 30 firefighters to the blaze.

Fire damaged a rear room basement in a one-story home today in the Mar Vista section of Los Angeles.

The blaze at 3515 Ocean View Ave. was reported at 6:54 a.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

The department dispatched 30 firefighters to the blaze and extinguished the flames at 7:13 a.m., Scott said.
