LOS ANGELES, CA — Have a holiday drink and let Starbucks pick up the tab. That's the idea behind the coffee company's latest promotion which will feature more than 1,000 "pop-up parties" across the nation at select stores through the end of the year.

Up on the list for a party on Monday is the Starbucks store in the Westside at 8844 S. Sepulveda Blvd, according to the company.

Here's how it works: Each day for five days, more than 200 locations will be chosen to offer the promotion. You can view a list on the pop-up party site daily to view the next day's participating stores. And you have to visit during the one-hour window of the "party," from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. local time, to get your complimentary beverage.

"Customers who visit a participating store will receive a free tall handcrafted espresso beverage of their choice, hot or iced, including Peppermint Mochas, Iced Toasted White Chocolate Mochas, lattes, macchiatos and more (one per customer)," Starbucks representatives said in a news release.

The promotion runs from Friday, Dec. 27 through Tuesday, Dec. 31.
