Google Glass Goes on Sale Today, First Local Robbery Reported in Venice
A man is threatened with a Taser at On The Waterfront Cafe for the eyeglasses with a computer built in. The two suspects got away.
A man in a Venice bar was robbed of his Google Glass, police said today.
The crime at On The Waterfront Cafe, 205 Ocean Front Walk, occurred about 8 p.m. Monday, Los Angeles police Officer Wendy Reyes said, adding that the victim also lost a laptop computer under threat of being shocked.
"The victim was threatened with a Taser," Reyes said.

Detailed descriptions of the two suspects were unavailable.
The eyeglasses with a built-in computer went on sale today under a restricted one-day "explorer" program to the public that is designed to aid in development of the device, according to Google. Prices are in the $1,500 range.
