History Comes Alive at Beethoven Elementary’s Living Museum
Every fifth-grader portrays an important figure from the American Revolution.
Moving beyond the dry history books, ’s fifth-grade class last week participated in a living museum presentation on the American Revolution.
In addition to the students’ general studies on the American Revolution, each child focused on and portrayed an important historical figure. They then stood up and gave a one-minute speech about their role in the revolution.
The entire fifth grade gathered in the auditorium for the presentation, which also included sharing songs with the audience of students, parents and community members. The presentation was held the day after the students went on a field trip to Riley's Farm where they were able to step back in time and get a feel for the period they were portraying.
