For 37 years, the Jacket of Excellence Awards has been the summit of the season of action for the community. This year our humbling tradition continues, even in the face of the global pandemic. Venice High School seniors are still reaching for the stars despite crippling circumstances. These are exceptional students who have earned at least a 3.75 GPA and excellent citizenship, in addition to sharing their energy and intelligence in the service of our diverse community.

Students who demonstrate the best attributes of being a Gondo, like the ones pictured above, are awarded a customized academic jacket and honored at a luncheon as a way to recognize and applaud their accomplishments. This tradition, which has been in place since 1984, wouldn't be possible without help from the community.

Due to the pandemic, VHS has canceled all in-person activities, however, the virtual jacket ceremony event on Friday, December 11th is sure to be a meaningful once in a lifetime experience. Time and login information TBA.
