Kehillat Ma’arav Men’s Club and Yad Sarah Present “Above and Beyond,” a documentary film produced by Nancy Spielberg, featuring a performance by the KM Choir.

Would you risk everything to help a brother in need? In 1948, a group of Jewish American pilots answered a call for help. They smuggled planes out of the US, trained behind the Iron Curtain, and flew for Israel in its War of Independence. Above and Beyond is the story of these American volunteers in the Israeli Air Force. Come join us on ISRAEL INDEPENDENCE DAY! We will enjoy the film and welcome Adele Goldberg, Executive Director of Friends of Yad Sarah USA. Yad Sarah, Israel’s largest volunteer staffed organization, provides a vital array of compassionate health and home care support services for people of all ages.
