Lenny & Larry’s Of L.A. To Donate Cookies To Delivery Drivers
Originally founded by two Venice "gym rats," the vegan protein cookie company aims to give away 50K cookies to UPS drivers as thanks.
PANORAMA CITY, CA — To show appreciation to delivery drivers — without whom "we would crumble" — Greater L.A.-based protein cookie company Lenny & Larry’s has partnered with United Parcel Service for a “Donate to Drivers” program.
In the effort, which runs through June 27, Lenny & Larry’s will donate one cookie to UPS drivers for every $2 spent on the company's website, with a goal of giving away 50,000 cookies, according to a company spokeserson.
The program is intended "to give back and say 'thank you' to the drivers, who are working so tirelessly, because, without them, we would crumble," officials said.

Lenny & Larry's, a purveyor of protein cookies that come in such flavors as snickerdoodle, peanut butter and choc-o-mint, was founded in 1993 in Venice by two self-professed "gym rats," Benny Graham and Barry Turner, a body builder who went by "Cyclone" on the TV show “American Gladiators.”
The duo peddled their snacks through such outlets as Whole Foods, Erewhon Market and Gold’s Gym, before selling the brand in 2001 to a private firm based in Panorama City. Turner still remains as an active company shareholder with a focus on new products and marketing, and Lenny & Larry's products now are available in 30,000+ stores nationwide.
