Let Art (and Music) Save Your Life This Weekend

Another beautiful summer weekend is upon us, brimming—just brimming—with things to do!

On Friday (after you've gotten your weekly dose of vegetable goodness at the ), wrap up the day at for the opening reception , presented by Brooklyn Street Art in collaboration with ThinkSpace Gallery. The event starts at 6 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.

If street art isn't your thing, maybe head over to The Talking Stick instead and catch the 's live broadcast. The two-hour music show doubles on Friday as a fundraiser for Heal the Bay. The show goes on at 7 p.m.

Saturday, the 6th Annual Venice Beach Music Fest arrives! Located at the west end of Windward Avenue, the festival begins at 11 a.m. and will go to 7:30 p.m. Check out the full list of performers here.

There is also a  Saturday that starts at 11 a.m. Head over and help out!

Our third 11 a.m. Saturday option is over at Whole Foods. Join (RSVP) and get to taste the food while learning her tips.

On Sunday, Out of the Box Events is hitting the beach for a  so you may see hordes of people roaming the boardwalk snapping photos. Yeah, it's probably just another day in Venice, but it might be a team trying to earn points, so go ahead and oblige with a photo of you in your Speedo, and make Venice look friendly!

If you're not ready for your weekend to end, drop by Townhouse for Bacchanal Sundays. From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., enjoy live music and visuals featuring resident DJs Mason and LC/Mr. Numberonderful.
