Man Pulled from High Surf in Venice Without a Pulse
Rescue workers were able to revive him, but he's still considered in grave condition.

A 27-year-old man was pulled from high surf in Venice today without a pulse.
Rescuers administered CPR and restarted his pulse as he was taken to a hospital, where he arrived in grave condition, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department, which responded along with Los Angeles County Fire Department lifeguards.
The rescue was made around 6:05 p.m. in the 2100 block of Ocean Front Walk, Scott said.

Area beaches have seen high surf over the past two days from Hurricane Marie, which is now a tropical storm.
