Man Shot in Venice, Shooter at Large

VENICE, CA - A man was shot in the chest this morning in Venice, authorities said.

The shooting was reported about 3:30 a.m. at 732 Broadway Avenue, said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Station.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where his vital signs were stable, the desk officer said.

The shooter fled the scene, he said.
