Mar Vista Runners Complete Boston Marathon

History was made Monday when Kenya's  won the 115th  in two hours, three minutes and two seconds—the fastest time ever.

Despite shattering the previous best time of 2:03:59 set in 2008 by Ethiopian Haile Gebrselassie in Berlin, Mutai's effort is not officially considered a world record because the course is not considered record-eligible by the. 

Also completing the 26.2-mile course were two Mar Vista residents. Below is the list of local runners and their official times, in order of finish:

1. Caseria June, female, age 26, 3:48:48 (1,3037 overall, 2,713 in division)

2. Orcutt John, male, age 35, 4:06:37 (1,7402 overall, 4,025 in division)
