Round 1 of the NCAA's March Madness tournament begins Tuesday night with the 'First Four.' (Local team USC plays Virginia Commonwealth University for a shot at a place on the bracket).
The real playoffs, during which 64 college basketball teams battle single-elimination style for the NCAA Championship, begin on Thursday.
The annual tournament will culminate in the finals on April 4.
